Actress and producer of the film, Margot Robbie, reinforced that her producer, Lucky Chap, stated that the film “was not meant to be a trilogy” and that she plans to look for a “big, original and bold idea” to create a new phenomenon on the big screen (via Variety).
“It’s funny the knee-jerk reaction these days is for everyone to immediately ask about a sequel,” said Robbie. “I don’t think it was like this 20 years ago.”
