This Wednesday (13), Selena Gomez called out a social media video of her reaction to Chris Brown’s nomination at MTV VMAs, which occurred on Tuesday (12).

She commented “Who cares lol” under an Instagram post that showed her scrunching her face up, in the moment that Chris Brown’s name was called. The camera captured the moment, and it became viral.

Even though she didn’t comment about her reaction, the singer complained about the fact that she became a meme. On her Instagram story she wrote “I will never be a meme again. I’d rather sit still than be dragged for being myself. Much love.”
This comes after several of her reactions became viral. Earlier this month, she appeared in a video shared by Major League Soccer on X (formerly known as Twitter), after having a wide-eyed reaction to Lionel Messi during a game in Los Angeles.
In the VMAs she also reacted during Olivia Rodrigo’s performance, having a frightened look when the stage set fell down, and an effusive celebration when SZA won in one of the categories.
