In an interview to The Guardian newspaper, Olivia said that she never wants to speak about who her songs are about. “I’ve never done that before in my career, and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing.”

The rumors that there was a feud between the two singers began in 2021, when Olivia’s song “Deja Vu” had similarities with Taylor’s “Cruel Summer”, and due to that, had to give her part of the credits and royalties of the hit.
