This Friday (15), Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel praised Manuel Neuer for being recalled to the German national team.

The goalkeeper’s last game for Germany was at the World Cup in Qatar in December 2022 Neuer broke his leg shortly after and missed almost a year of football. It’s the first time in 15 months that he’s been called up to the team.

“Once he made it back on the pitch I really knew he’d be back for the home Euros. His goalkeeping play, his anticipation is really unique. He’s in a league of his own”, said Tuhcel about Neuer.
On Thursday (14), Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann said that there is still no decision as to whether Neuer or Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Barcelona’s goalkeeper, will be the team’s number one.
As well as celebrating his call-up, Neuer is also celebrating the birth of his first child on Thursday. “Manu will come back tomorrow and will stand in the goal inspired by fatherhood”, added Tuchel.
