Erik ten Hag says he doesn’t want Jim Ratcliffe vote of confidence

Date:

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said that he doesn’t want a vote of confidence from Jim Ratcliffe, amid speculation about his future in the team.

Ratcliffe controls United’s soccer operations after recently acquiring a 25% stake in the club from the owners, the Glazer family. Ratcliffe is conducting an intensive analysis of Ten Hag’s work, and reports suggest that former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is a candidate to replace him.

++Erik ten Hag accuses Jamie Carragher of being “very subjective” in his analysis of Manchester United

“I’m here, I’m under contract for three seasons, so I don’t care. I’m only focusing on the process so I don’t care what’s going around me. I have many talks with Jim Ratcliffe but especially also with Sir Dave Brailsford so I know what we are talking about. I have a strong belief and I feel that they believe in me”, said Ten Hag on Tuesday (27).

“I’m just focusing on the team and I have to find solutions for this team that they perform in the best way they can. It’s all about focusing on this and don’t get distracted by any noise. We’re talking about the future, we’re talking about a future together”, added the manager.
