The authorities’ decision states that, as the ex-couple had signed a term with a consent plan regarding the custody of their two daughters, there would be no specific reason for such an accusation. Following the information, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas agreed to set aside the request shortly after the paternity agreement approved in the United Kingdom was validated last week.
In September last year, the actress had requested a court order against the singer, alleging that Joe Jonas returned to England, Sophie Turner’s country of origin. As justification, the Englishwoman stated that she had agreed with the artist for the children to return to the place to celebrate Christmas in 2022, however, it was not possible due to the withdrawal of her daughters’ passports.
In light of the news, Joe Jonas’ defense stated that: “Less than 24 hours later, Sophie informed her that she wanted to take the children permanently to the United Kingdom. After that, she demanded, through this document, that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could remove them from the country immediately. This is an unfortunate legal disagreement over a marriage that is unfortunately ending. When ‘kidnapping’ language is used, it is misleading at best and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.” The artists did not comment on the news.
