Cameron Diaz sparked major controversy with her latest statement! The 51-year-old actress shared, during the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, her desire to normalize the practice of couples choosing to sleep in separate bedrooms.

Diaz, who has been married since 2015 to musician Benji Madden, guitarist for Good Charlotte, revealed the idea of having separate houses, with the family residence in the middle. The actress explained that this would allow her and her husband to have their own sleeping spaces, while reserving a room downtown for intimate gatherings.

“For me, I would literally have my house and he would have his,” commented Diaz, responding to one of the presenters’ observation about her husband’s snoring. “We would have the family house in the middle. I would sleep in my room. You would sleep in your room. All good”.
Diaz added nonchalantly, “And we would have the room in the middle just to meet for our relations.” Between laughs, Katherine Power, Cameron’s partner in his wine brand, joked, suggesting that perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to expose this unconventional wedding routine in public. “It’s already been said,” Diaz responded with a laugh. “In fact, we don’t practice this currently because my husband is wonderful. But I already supported this idea even before we got married.”
