Barbie, Poor Things and Oppenheimer enter AFI’s best of the year list

The American Film Institute (AFI) released its traditional list of the best films and series of 2023. The non-profit organization is dedicated to training filmmakers and conserving American cinematography.

Therefore, without many surprises, the list of the 10 best films includes titles that have been widely talked about throughout the year, and which are big bets for the Oscars.

Likewise, the list of series includes titles that are nominated for an Emmy and that should appear on more best of the year lists by the end of December.

It is worth mentioning that the selection is made by a specialized jury made up of artists, critics and researchers.

Now, those chosen will be honored at a private reception on January 12, 2024, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
