In an interview with Variety on Saturday (2), Eilish talked about the comment she made about being attracted to women, in the interview to the magazine’s Power of Women last month. Asked if she had intended to come out in the article she denied.

“No I didn’t. But I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious?’… I didn’t realize people didn’t know”, she declared. Billie also said that she “just don’t really believe in it”, about the concept of coming out. “I’m just like, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’ I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I just didn’t talk about it. Whoops”, she added.
The singer also revealed her reaction about her words being published. “I saw the article and I was like, oh… I guess… I came out today! ..OK cool. But it’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know… but it’s cool that they know”. Billie also noted she was nervous talking about the subject. “Ooh, I’m nervous talking about it!. But… I am for the girls”.
