Trump is unlikely to attend Milei’s inauguration in Argentina, says source

Date:

The inauguration of the president-elect of Argentina, Javier Milei, in December, will probably not feature the presence of the former president Donald Trump, among the participants, as a source informed Reuters this Monday (27).

Although the Argentine libertarian’s press office announced on November 23 that Trump would travel to Buenos Aires, it did not specify that the Republican would attend Milei’s formal inauguration as president on December 10.

A source close to the former president’s campaign, who is currently seeking his party’s nomination to run again for the White House in next year’s elections, cited a tight campaign schedule as a likely impediment.

The source said: “There is nothing planned at this time. With the Iowa, New Hampshire and rest of the primaries coming up, this is something that would be difficult in the short term.” The first contest for Trump’s Republican Party nomination is set for Iowa on Jan. 15, followed by New Hampshire on Jan. 23. Trump also faces multiple criminal and civil lawsuits during the same period, which also takes a toll on his time as the presidential race intensifies.
