After two years of marriage, Ariana Grande filed for divorce from her husband, Dalton Gomez, on Monday (19).

The pop singer’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed the request citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, according to information from the website TMZ.
According to TMZ, Dalton immediately followed suit. A source from the website stated that the couple resolved all the bureaucracy between them, before going to court. They also said that Ariana will give Dalton a check and that’s it.

Also according to the site, the couple had a prenup — and their separation date is February 20, 2023. As for why it took so long between the separation date and the divorce filing, a source said that it took the two of them time to work out the details. “They have been very thoughtful and respectful of each other at every step of this process,” he said.
Ariana and Dalton got married in an intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California, in May 2021. The union took place five months after announcing their relationship.
Neither Ariana nor Dalton have publicly commented yet on the divorce.
