HBO’s blockbuster GOT series House of the Dragon is coming to its final episode of season one, and things are literally on fire. Following the tradition, the ninth episode was considered the best of the season, and brought new clashes. The dance of the dragons has a date set to begin. Who will have the throne of the seven kingdoms?

After King Viserys passed away, Rhaenyra would assume the throne. However, a muddle of speech on his deathbed caused Alicent to believe that her husband wanted their son Aegon to be the heir. Thus causing the structures of King’s Landing to move. The last episode of the season promises to show the beginning of the war between the greens (led by Alicent and her father Otto Hightower), and the blacks (led by Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen. In the preview images, we can see that the armies are taking a position, and alliances are being made.

If in the ninth episode, we saw the greens get ready, and make their moves, in the tenth and last, we will see the blacks lining up and going in search of the conquest. The first battle of the series must take place in this final episode, and the decision of the throne’s fate must begin. The true heir to the throne is Rhaenyra, however, Alicent has the excuse of having “misunderstood” her husband’s last wish. Meanwhile, lords are imprisoned until they swear allegiance to the new King Aegon. Rhaenys was the protagonist of one of the most acclaimed scenes of the season. The matriarch of the Velaryon managed to escape the imposed prison, and appeared at the coronation ceremony of the new king mounted on her dragon. “Everyone screamed DRACARYS except her,” said one fan online. That’s right, Rhaenys came face to face with her gathered enemies, and only sent a message to them: “The dance of the dragons has begun”.
